The window is hotting up with clubs in pre-season action – and the new campaign just weeks away.

The big name in the mix is Neymar, who has reportedly agreed a stunning move to PSG.

It appears unthinkable that Barcelona would let one of their star men go but a bid in excess of £200m is said to have been made.

And the French giants won't stop there either – they have also been linked with Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez.

Mesut Ozil, however, is edging closer to a new deal with Arsenal, who feel they have made a breakthrough with the German.

In Manchester, United remain keen on Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic but as usual Jose Mourinho is remaining tight-lipped.

We still have six weeks remaining, so be sure to keep checking the blog for the latest deals to drop.

Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde says the Catalans ‘absolutely’ want Neymar to stay at the Nou Camp amid interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

Neymar, 25, is reportedly unsettled at Barca and the Ligue 1 side would obliterate the world record to land him in a deal worth almost £200million.

But, ahead of Barca’s friendly against Juventus in the USA on Saturday, Valverde has attempted to play down his desire to depart Spain.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter since moving from Southampton six years ago.

He was deployed as a wing-back last season and has also been used as a central midfielder.

Kasper Schmeichel has reiterated his commitment to Leicester amid speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United.

“I am a Leicester player until someone tells me otherwise and until then I am fully committed to this club,” said Schmeichel.

“There has always been a lot of competition for places. We have got Ben Hamer as well and he is a top class keeper and Ron-Robert Zieler was a World Cup winner.

“Competition has always been there and has to be there otherwise or we could start becoming complacent throughout the whole squad if there isn’t competition for places.

Klopp admits he had no idea who his new signing was

Jurgen Klopp has admitted that new signing Dominic Solanke was such an unknown quantity before they signed him that he struggled to find DVD of him in action.

But the Liverpool boss has his recruitment staff to thank after they alerted him to the availability of the England Under-21 striker, report the Liverpool Echo.

The 19-year-old was out of contract at Chelsea and therefore allowed to talk to other clubs in May and it soon became clear that Anfield was his preferred destination

Klopp then began to look further into the player and saw enough of him to see what he could add to the squad.

“The only thing I can say is the first time I heard that Dominic wants to come, I was really happy about that,” Klopp said.

“But it was difficult to find footage about him. It was a long time since he played so it was hard.

“The only thing we could get was a little bit of him playing in Holland (on loan for Vitesse Arnhem) and a bit of under-20s or under-19s. That’s not the best footage.

“Everyone in England knew him but I had no idea about him. I started to learn more and more and I trust the guys around us, the scouts, so I said: ‘Let’s do it.’”
